Now coming to the main point, our review 🙂
Packaging and Contents:
I ordered it on 2nd October 2014 and was delivered by 8th October 2014. I chose Cash on Delivery option and paid for it. The packaging was as per expectation and i was delighted seeing that. In the box, there was the tablet (with screen-guard already fitted) , charger with detachable micro USB data cable, in-ear earphones, cleaning cloth, black color pouch and the manuals. The tablet and all the accessories were nicely packed.
Build and Design
The build quality is fine and even better than some international brands like Samsung. It is made up of metal body. The phones bear a simple, utilitarian look and have rounded corners and edges. The keys for volume control and power are located at the left side. The micro USB slot is situated at the bottom along with the 3.5mm jack. The mic is also at the bottom.
5.0 MP AF Rear Camera with Dual LED flash is on the top center of its back and the front camera is on the left corner. There is a tiny removable panel at the back which is shiny in looks. The battery is non-removable. There are 2 SIM slots and a micro SD slot under the shiny panel. Overall, it give a premium feel.
Display
It boasts a 7 inch (17.8cm) display with 1280*800 resolution IPS Display with 215 PPI. It is crispy and vivid and colors are accurate.
The display is truly adorable. Movie and video watching experience is awesome.
Software
The phones run a Android 4.4.2 KitKat. There are also a few non-removable pre-loaded apps. The touch response is quick and software side is tweaked as per user requirements. Non removable applications like MX Player should be left on customer’s choice that could be better. The overall software is good.
Camera
The 5 MP auto focus camera is good for taking shots. The daylight pics taken by iBall Slide 7345Q-800 are convincingly smart but the pictures taken in night without flash are poor. However, pictures taken with flash are with good details. If you are a high end smartphone user then the camera might be a little low for you but for 5MP, it performs well. The front camera is good for taking selfies.
Connectivity
It comes with 3G, Wi-fi and bluetooth. The 3.5mm audio jack and micro USB port on bottom. It have A-GPS for navigation and support tethering with both USB as well as Wi-Fi Hotspot. Additionally, it allows tethering via bluetooth.
Performance
It showed smooth performance without any lag. It responds even the lightest of taps on the screen and does not hang while switching between apps quickly. The transition effects are nice. There was no lag while browsing the web, scrolling through lists inside apps, switching between apps and casual gaming. The phone was able to lock to GPS without any hiccups. I feel satisfied with the performance.
Sound
The sound is not so immersive but it is good to listen music. The speaker output is just above the okay but headphones give immersive output. The earpiece volume is excellent and output on the speaker while call is also perfect.
Gaming
Casual games like Candy Crush and Balance 3D were flawless without encountering any lag. However, some frame drops and minor lags were there while playing graphics-rich games like Asphalt 8. The gaming performance is more than expected from the tablet.
Battery Backup
Being feature rich tablet with 7″ HD+ display, it also affects the battery. The battery backup is average. It gives backup of 14-15 hours on mixed use. Continuous heavy usage battery backup is about 3.5-4 hours. As you can expect from android, it can give 2 days backup with light usage with just calls and texting.
Final Verdict
Finally my opinion about iBall Slide 7345 q-800: It’s good tablet in this price range as compare to other tablet available in market like: Micromax Funbook mini p410i, Lava etc. This tab provides better features and configuration in lower price range, but we can’t say about future every day new gadget are coming to market with latest technology until iBall is good option at price 8200 INR.
