In India, the first phase of vaccination started on January 16 and only health workers and frontline workers were allowed. In the second phase, however, citizens aged 60 years or above and 45 or above with any comorbidities can register.
Now, there are two major ways you can register for the vaccine — using the Cowin website, which you can read
here, and the Aarogya Setu app.
So, if you are wondering where you can get the vaccine, here’s how you can register using the Aarogya Setu app.
Make sure to update the Aarogya Setu app
Aarogya Setu app has received a dedicated section for vaccination in the app. If you are unable to see that option, make sure to update it to version 1.4.1 or above on Android and version 2.0 on iOS.
Register on Cowin using Aarogya Setu app
The first thing you’ll need to do is register on the Cowin. To do this follow the steps:
Open Aarogya Setu app and complete the setup
Tap on the Vaccination section
Enter your phone number and tap on Proceed to Verify
Enter OTP received on your phone number
Tap on Verify to register
Register for the Vaccination
After registration, you’ll need to fill up a form with details like name, Photo ID details for verification, DOB, etc. Enter all the details and hit the Submit button.
Now, choose your nearest vaccination centre and time slot to book the appointment.
Do note that after successfully completing the process, an SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number with all the necessary details.
