How to find IP address on your Windows PC

Most devices connected to the internet do not identify your system by the given name. They usually assign an unique identifier called IP address. IP stands for Internet Protocol.

Every device connected to the internet is assigned to a different IP address which further enables addressing several concerns and network related tasks.

Method 1: Using Google Search
A simple Google Search can get you IP address. Type What’s my IP on Google Search it will return your IP address.

Method 2: Using command prompt on Windows
Open CMD on Windows machine and type ‘ipconfig’ and press enter. It will return several details like IP4 address, subnet mask and default gateway. You will also find Ethernet adapter and Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi information as well.

Method 3: Using connected network properties
From the taskbar, choose Wi-Fi network -> Right-click on Wi-Fi network you’re connected to -> Properties

Under Properties, look for your IP address listed next to IPv4 address.
