How to enable two-step verification on Telegram

Open the Telegram app on your smartphone.

Now open the menu by swiping left or by tapping on the hamburger menu icon.

Now go to Settings.

From the Settings menu select Privacy and Security.

Now tap on Two-Step Verification.

Now the app will ask you to set up an additional password.

After entering the password you will have to add a password hint and a recovery email.

Now you have to enter the code sent by Telegram in order to complete the two-step verification.

This is how you can enable two-step verification on Telegram. This new password which you just set will be required when you log in on a new device in addition to the code you get in the SMS.
