If you are working with some organisation, then you must be aware of the Provident Fund amount that gets deducted from your salary every month. To ease up things, the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) launched Universal Account Number more widely known as UAN for members that allow them to keep a track of all the transactions and deposits being made in the account. Also, this is an account number which remains the same irrespective of the companies or professions you may change.
Just like any other bank accounts, UAN also requires members to register an active phone number through which all the future communications will be done. That means, it is also important to update your phone number in the account in case you have recently got a new number and the previous one is no longer active. Read along to know how to change/update your phone number using the EPFO portal.
