It can be hard to use your own words or phrases while using messaging apps on Android smartphones. This is because Android has a built-in dictionary that automatically corrects them or makes suggestions to correct them.
This can be annoying while texting as it will often let you rewrite the word or phrase. However, there’s a workaround which will teach Android that particular word and phrase.
Wondering how? Follow our step-by-step guide:
Open Setting on your smartphone.
Open Language and keyboard option.
Do note that different smartphone makers name this option differently.
Look for Personal Dictionary option and tap on it.
Again few smartphone makers hide this option under More settings
Here tap on Add to Dictionary option and start adding words and phrases you want. You can also assign shortcuts for them.
Open any messaging app and type your word or phrase you want to add.
Tap and hold or double-tap the word and choose Add to Dictionary option.
