Google Chrome rolls out Group Tabs for Android users: Here is how you can use this feature

Back in May 2020, Google had announced a Chrome browser feature that solved users’ problem of too many tabs by organising them in groups. This feature was rolled out for desktop users, but now has started making its way to Android handsets too.

Here is how you can group different tabs together on Google Chrome on your Android phone:

1.

Open Google Chrome app on your Android phone

2.

Open more than one tab that you want to group together

3.

Drag and drop one of them on another one to create a group

4.

Alternatively, you can tap on “Group Tabs” from the three dot icon

5.

Now, you can select all the tabs you want to include in a group

Once these groups of tabs are created, you will be able to see a bar at the bottom for a quick access. This bar offers access to each group at a time with options like New Tab within the same group and removing of tabs from a group.

For those unaware, the support for multiple Group Tabs on desktop come with support for a custom name — including emojis — and colour to make them easy to spot, which is not available on Android right now. Also, in order to move a tab from one group to another, they simply have to slide it and it will move to the other group, which is also not available on Android as of now.
