Now, a smartwatch should adapt to the user’s lifestyle based on their usages and surroundings. Apple Watch can do exactly that. Based on the location and time, it can automatically change the Watch face to suit the users’ needs.
For example, if you are at your gym, then Apple Watch can automatically detect the location and change the watch face to the one which shows most activity details.
Sounds interesting, right? Well, read on to know how to enable this feature.
Head to Shortcuts app on your iPhone
Tap on the Automation button at the bottom
Then, tap on the ‘+’ symbol and select the option Create Personal Automation
Now, choose Time of Day at the top
As per your choice, choose from the option Sunrise, Sunset or Custom
Here, you can also select the option to repeat Daily, Monthly or Weekly.
Hit Next and then tap on Add Action, here search Watch option and select the option Set Watch Face and choose the watch face you want to set with the time
It will navigate back to the Action page, here tap the Next button
Now, turn off Ask Before Running toggle to execute the Shortcut automatically
To change the watch face based on the location, follow the first three steps and then select the option Arrive or Leave from the New Automation screen.
Pick Arrive or Leave at the top of the New Automation screen and tap on Choose to select the location.
Then tap Next -> Add Action and then continue with the rest of the steps as mentioned above.
